New Order Cancels Cardiff Bay Gig

wales entertainment news

Fans of the popular Manchester-formed electronic band New Order were left disappointed as the band’s Cardiff Bay show at Alexandra Head was officially cancelled the morning before the show on August 22nd.

Fans travelled from places such as Germany, Brazil, Columbia and throughout the United Kingdom to attend the show, but the event organizers, The Bay Series, says that the show had to be pulled due to health and safety reasons, per an official announcement.

“Important information about tonight’s event. Unfortunately due to extreme weather including severe winds, tonight’s New Order show has been cancelled on health and safety grounds” the statement said.

“We will continue to monitor the weather but are assured that Becky Hill and Tiesto events will remain unaffected.”

The band was slated to play their first show in Cardiff since 1983.
